1/21/2024 0 Comments Green lantern 2 review![]() ![]() The character’s motivation for murder is that he is not merely killing individuals but murdering future leaders and heroes. But Romat-Ru is apparently a serial murderer of children. Both characters are described as being from the alien Xudarian race. There is a personal feud between Tomar-Tu and Romat-Ru. The story underpinning “Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Corps” #24 is essentially the tipping point, with a flashback scene showing Green Lantern Tomar-Tu and Yellow Lantern Fantas-M apprehending a rogue Yellow Lantern named Romat-Ru. (The complicated distinction between a Yellow Lantern and a Green Lantern is not worth going into here.) But to its credit, the issue is structured in a way that makes it easy for a reader who is already familiar with the Green Lantern mythos to fill in the blanks and understand what events are unfolding as well the reasons why, thanks to efficient use of dialogue and flashbacks. This alliance was established in earlier issues. “Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Corps” #24 is not a great jumping-on point for new readers, as it is the third part of a storyline called “Fractures” that tackles the potential/eventual implosion of the alliance between the intergalactic peacekeepers called the Green Lantern Corps and their erstwhile rivals, the Yellow Lanterns of the Sinestro Corps. Our reviews of these titles have not been happy. We have written about American publisher’ DC Comics’ “Green Lantern” characters previously. Some PG and PG-13 movies may have the same content that is in this movie but, PG-13 is higher than PG.Hal Jordan and The Green Lantern Corps #24 "Green Lantern" is better than "EXT: Green Lantern" because it is rated PG-13 and does not have any sexual content. It is called "EXT: Green Lantern" and it is rated R. Only the extended version of this movie has sexual content. ![]() Rude humor: Hal's girlfriend mentions to Hal that she seen him naked before to support her claim about how she knew it was him in his Green Lantern suit. Hal is seen in his underwear not, without anything on. Some kids might think that she was referring to sex, showers together or her watching him while he is naked. Hal's girlfriend mentions to Hal that she seen him naked before to support her claim about how she knew it was him in his Green Lantern suit. Some kids might think that he was making out with the lady next to him. Edgy jokes/suggestive themes: Hal is seen in his underwear when he gets up from bed. There is also more violence that I am not going to mention. That is also a scary moment for a few children. Violence: Superhero and slapstick violence. Just don't subject yourself to this monstrosity. ![]() Go watch The Avengers or The Dark Knight or Deadpool or Spider-Man or even The Crow for gods sake. But PLEASE! There are so many good superhero movies out there. Good role models abound, as the Green Lantern people are protectors of the universe, blah, blah, blah. And fine, Ryan Reynolds's character (I can't even remember his name) is a pretty cool guy. This movie is probably fine for 12 year olds. To appease the people who use this website as a reference tool: yeah, sure, okay. ![]() This movie should have been good! The director and producers had decades of Green Lantern comics upon which they could base their movie! So much wasted potential. It is a masterclass in stupidity and a perfect example of studio interference combined with a terrible, terrible, concept. That being said, I'm going to be blunt: this movie sucks. There's a reason that Ryan Reynolds naturally refers to this pile of garbage as his worst movie. ![]()
